Cornelius Fire & Rescue is a Volunteer Fire Department. Our volunteers carry voice pagers, which alerts them to calls, and Active911 pagine, which allows them to read the address and nature of the call. Volunteers are encouraged to pull duty shifts at either of the fire stations. When our volunteers are not at the station they respond from home or work. We also have part-time paid staff at each station everyday. There are four personnel at each station during the weekdays and weeknights. Stations 1 & 2 are staffed with four personnel on the weekends during the day and night. Our part time staff is made up of the members of the Cornelius-Lemley Fire Department
